We are a second-grade non-profit cooperative, uniting three cooperatives from Catalonia, Spain. Our mission is to promote and establish energy communities as a key driver of the energy transition at both the local and national level.
We share a common vision that places energy communities at the heart of the energy transition, both locally and nationally. We see them as powerful tools for strengthening democracy, citizen engagement, and inclusiveness.
Our organization is built on the values of cooperation and networking, uniting companies and organizations to promote energy communities while sharing knowledge with transparency and mutual trust. We are committed to advancing sustainability and the energy transition through education and effective communication. We believe that knowledge should be open, accessible, and understandable for all who are interested in shaping the energy future.
Founded in 2022, we are a young but dynamic and growing cooperative, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the sector. Despite our recent establishment, we have already achieved important milestones by supporting multiple energy communities across Catalonia and the Basque Country. In some projects, we had the privilege of guiding the entire process—from the initial design and technical studies to securing major regional subsidies such as Solarcoop, managing project execution, and seeing the communities successfully launched and growing.
Beyond working directly with energy communities and neighborhood groups, we also collaborate with public entities and local administrations as consultants and educators. Among the projects we are especially proud of are: the drafting of Guidelines for Energy Community Support for the Provincial Delegation of Girona, and the organization of information sessions for local administrations in the Province of Tarragona, in collaboration with the Association of Municipalities of Catalonia.
As a nonprofit, we are deeply committed to education and outreach. On a voluntary basis, we have actively participated in a wide variety of public events—conferences, festivals, and workshops—dedicated to promoting energy communities and raising awareness about the energy transition. Notable examples include the Festival of Social and Solidarity Economy, the IV Public Policies Day organized by the Business and Social Economy Service of the City Council of Terrassa, the Congress of Cooperativism of Catalonia, the Energy and Sustainable Construction Fair of Vic, and the II Forum for Industrial Energy Transition in Catalonia.
