Josh has been with REScoop.eu since 2016 and currently serves as Senior Policy Advisor. He led REScoop.eu’s advocacy efforts on European legislation that acknowledges and supports energy communities as new market actors in the energy transition, and provides expertise to members and network partners on the transposition and implementation of EU law at the national level. Before that, Josh worked for five years as a lawyer for ClientEarth, an environmental law NGO. A qualified lawyer since 2010, Josh has been actively involved in the European energy policy debate since 2012, focusing on issues related to the internal energy market, renewables and other distributed energy resources, infrastructure, and community/citizen participation. Josh obtained his Juris Doctorate in law from McGeorge School of law in 2010, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), majoring in Political Science.
