COCITER is a cooperative supplier owned by more than 20 organisations in the social economy, including 17 renewable energy producers governed and owned by more than 25,000 people in Wallonia, Belgium.
COCITER is a Walloon cooperative that supplies green electricity. It is owned by accredited Walloon citizen cooperatives that produce the green, community-owned electricity consumed by customers. These cooperatives are members of the REScoop federation and adhere to criteria of openness, democracy, independence, non-speculation, transparency, and social responsibility. From producer to consumer, COCITER thus completes the short electricity supply chain, operating on a non-profit basis, where only the actual costs are passed on to the customer.
