EC Bessarion is a newly established non-profit energy community promoting novel technological solutions to enable sustainable development mainly in the fields of agriculture, renewable energy and connectivity in rural areas.
Our ultimate goal is to promote a community-based organisation and provide free access to electricity and connectivity to the less-privileged social groups within the community. The founding members of ECBessarion are PhD holders and experts in telecoms and smart grids with extensive experience in conducting applied research.
We implement a novel microgrid service paradigm that decouples renewable energy generation from consumption. Electricity production is coming from a photovoltaic (PV) park installed in a rural area and electricity is consumed by multiple consumers dispersed over a wide geographical area.
