My Energy Community MEC

My Energy Community (MEC) is one of the first Croatian citizen-led energy community, officially established in March 2024. It operates in Rugvica, near Zagreb, with four family homes participating. One home has a solar power plant, producing 4,000 kWh annually, and the initiative aims to promote local energy production and self-sufficiency. The platform developed for this community allows real-time monitoring of energy consumption and sharing among members. The MEC initiative not only streamlines operational processes for energy communities but also establishes crucial foundations for future communities. It serves as a pioneering model designed to inspire and guide the development of future energy communities across Croatia.
