This report provides an in-depth assessment of the current status of Community Energy Financing Schemes (CEFS) across Europe, with a focus on the ACCE (Access to Capital for Community Energy) project’s target countries (Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Romania, and the UK).

It compiles and categorizes existing CEFS in order to build a database of current practices and lighthouse examples. This database is intended to serve as a reference for developing standardized CEFS models and to provide a clear definition of the term CEFS.

Within this paper’s pages, you’ll find a detailed account of the following objectives:

  1. Questionnaire Design
  2. Definition of CEFS
  3. Identification and Classification of CEFS
  4. Database Creation
