Som Comunitat Energètica

Som Comunitat Energètica is an online platform that provides citizens in Catalonia (Spain) with the opportunity to simulate the creation of energy communities with their neighbors. This empowers them to discover the energy and economic savings involved and to identify facilitating agents (administrations and companies) operating near them. Furthermore, it visualises existing initiatives in their vicinity, enabling citizens to connect with already established communities.

The simulation tool offers customisation at a building level, considering variables such as available surface area, orientation, inclination of the roof surface, the desired number of PV panels for installation, and the dwelling’s energy consumption. Upon completion of the simulation, users receive information about installed power, required investment, return on investment, and CO₂ emissions saved.

The platform has been developed to promote the energy transition of the building stock towards decarbonization by encouraging the creation of energy communities.
