The start of a Community-led Heating and Cooling (CH&C) activity can be different in every community. Sometimes citizens want to make their house renewable, and realise that is more cost effective and sustainable to do this collectively. In other cases the municipality makes plans to tender your neighbourhood’s H&C decarbonisation, and you decide with your community that you want to keep control of your local heating and cooling system. Whatever the reason, most CH&C start with nothing, and need to build up an organisation from the bottom up.
