Som Energia has elaborated a practical guide on self-production in apartment blocks, to promote the installation of solar panels in residential buildings.
The guide primarily focuses on the case of collective community self-production in blocks of flats with surpluses, with simplified compensation and in an internal network.
The guide begins by explaining what self-production is, what types of self-production there are and what the casuistry of collective installations in blocks of flats is. In the second part, it goes into detail on the steps to be followed by neighbourhood communities that want to undertake this project. Finally, there is a short look into the future, pointing to new possibilities that will open up in self-production and community energy management. The guide also includes model contracts and ready-made documents to adapt or use directly, such as a fact sheet and a presentation to help inform the rest of the neighbourhood.
This guide, available in Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque, is a further contribution by Som Energia to the energy transition.
