The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has created a network to enable communities to manage and save energy across all sectors. Members of this sustainable energy communities network can engage and learn from project site visits, seminars, events, and case studies.
This handbook intends to inform and guide people on the journey to create a sustainable energy community and introduces the support that citizen groups can receive from the network created by SEAI.
The paper is divided into three sections. The first part is aimed at those who have just joined the network and want to learn about what they can do to get started. The second chapter is for those who have started to plan out their goals and want to develop an energy masterplan. The last and third section is about identifying grants or other support from SEAI to help you to implement your energy projects.
Whether you don’t know where to start from or you are stuck with a specific issue in the development of your energy community, an expert can help you.
